What are some recommended prepared curry sauces?

First, yes I know there isn't one type of curry!

I've made what was called British- or Restaurant-style curry sauce before from scratch (onions, garlic, ginger & spices), and while it's good it is a pain to make! I'm looking for something in a can or jar that's either fairly widely available or available online. Also, what might a medium curry sauce be called? I had something with Bombay Sauce recently that was very much what I wanted.

I want something that is good for vegetarian dishes mostly.

The best ready made curry sauces are actually packets (they are masala or spice mixture packets) known as PARAMPARA. They are very tasty, easy to make and authentic. They have a huge variety of both veg & non veg spice mixtures.

The bottled curry sauces I have tried are just awful and dont taste authentic (Sharwoods, Pataks...).

For South Indian type curries, use MTR brand.
